SeedlingGray squares obstruct my light.
Dead and progressive slabs cover my feet,
And block my path.
The light bounces with no soft place to land.
Where once there were carpets of green,
Now only slate, hard tiles.
Breaking, fighting my way free.
Reaching for the sun,
Green hands fly up.
One small triumph,
A step toward my Mother,
In a world of metallic giants.
Love's GraceLove's learned grace doth guide my feet.
Thine soul's command mine must complete.
Betwixed are mine eyes to your everpressed fire.
A storm brews within ignited by desire.
Calm my weary mind is your gracious gift.
Words fall from thine mouth mending its rift.
Day is made brighter,
Night not nigh as dark,
A velvet tapestry where once there was bark.
Patience, where lieth only pain,
Set free by thine love's never-ending refrain.
